Industrial Innovation: How Spectrum Industries Reimagined Office Space Using Shipping Containers
Walking into a manufacturing plant, you usually expect to see the standard layout: a sprawling factory floor on one side and a traditional, drywall-and-fluorescent front office on the other. But inside Spectrum Industries in Kentwood, Michigan, things look a little different.
Spectrum Industries, a leader in custom manufacturing and electrocoating, recently bypassed the traditional blueprint for their facility upgrades. Instead of building standard office walls, they opted for an innovative, sustainable, and visually striking alternative: shipping containers.
Partnering with local container architecture experts Blox Design Build, Spectrum turned standard cargo containers into a modern, turnkey mezzanine office space right inside their active industrial facility.
